DripDrop’s Fast Hydration Tour: Denver, CO Recap
After passing through Austin, TX, and Nashville, TN, earlier this summer, the DripDrop van hit the road again for our final stop on the 2024 Fast Hydration Tour: Denver, CO. Over three months, our local Thirst Responders Tucker and Natasha connected us to this flourishing community of outdoor enthusiasts.
We were thrilled to spread the fast-hydrating power of DripDrop to the Mile High City at various festivals and events. We distributed over 350,000 samples to 90 organizations, including firehouses, athletic clubs, grocery stores, and more. We drip-dropped all around this vibrant city, spending time with run clubs, including SweatPals and CoolDown Running, and athletic groups like The Spot Gym indoor climbing gym.
From outdoor adventure to beautiful natural scenery, Denver showed us how to make the most out of summer, and we’re grateful to have been able to share DripDrop’s delicious taste and fast-hydrating power with the community.
Here are some standout moments from our time in the Mile High City!
GoPro Mountain Games
One of the biggest outdoor athletic events in Colorado takes place just west of Denver in the popular ski town, Vail, attracting more than 90,000 attendees. The GoPro Mountain Games are home to a diverse range of sports, including running, biking, climbing, kayaking, slacklining, and more. Even our canine friends participate in the competition that tests their jump distance and height, ability to retrieve, and SuperWall climbing skills. As an Official Hydration Sponsor, DripDrop kept the crowds and the athletes hydrated with samples throughout the free four-day event.
July 4th ROCK-IT RUN
Attracting more than 10,000 people, the ROCK-IT RUN, which offers a half-marathon and 5k, is one of Denver’s largest July 4th-themed runs. Participants kicked off their Independence Day by completing the scenic route followed by a Patriotic Pets Parade, an award ceremony, and the Let Freedom Rock concert. DripDrop was an official sponsor of the finish line, cheering on runners and passing out samples to help recovering runners hydrate fast.
CROSSCURRENTS
Hosted at Denver’s Confluence Park, CROSSCURRENTS is a festival fundraiser for the nonprofit The Greenway Foundation. The park is adjacent to the South Platte River, which The Greenway Foundation has worked tirelessly to reclaim since 1974. After a long history of neglect, the river has been restored to a recreational area where the public and festival attendees can swim, kayak, and enjoy the area’s natural beauty. This free community event allows the nonprofit to continue its restoration efforts. This year, over 10,000 people attended the event to celebrate the river, enjoy live music, and get a taste of DripDrop.
RockyGrass Festival
Just outside of Denver in Lyons, CO, the RockyGrass Festival celebrated its 53rd year with a lineup of bluegrass musicians, including big names like Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, the Sam Bush Bluegrass Band, and more. This three-day festival offers onsite camping and attracts about 5,000 people who enjoyed the music while surrounded by red rock cliffs and relaxing next to the Vrain River, which runs right by the main stage. The DripDrop team celebrated alongside festivalgoers while passing out samples all day and night long.
Overland Expo Mountain West
Campers, adventurers, and explorers from all walks of life converged in Loveland, CO, for the annual Overland Expo Mountain West. This three-day event was just one of four parts of the most premier event series celebrating overlanding, a DIY approach to adventure travel. The Mountain West leg of the festival attracted more than 18,000 people and offered 258 educational classes, seminars, demos, activities, slideshows, and films. Attendees could learn everything from Overlanding 101 to navigating complicated border crossings while browsing exciting new overlanding gear for every type of outdoor adventure. As an Official Hydration Sponsor, DripDrop kept the crowds hydrated in the 100 degree weather with samples and DripDrop packets located at every water fountain.
