The 2024 hurricane season has been relentless, with several significant storms. In June, Hurricane Beryl tore through the Caribbean, severely impacting Barbados and parts of Texas, leaving widespread property damage and many residents in need of basic necessities. Later in September, Hurricane Helene formed in the Gulf of Mexico and made landfall in Florida on September 27th. The storm caused widespread devastation, with heavy damage to coastal communities, significant property losses, and hundreds of fatalities. In the aftermath of the hurricane, torrential rains and major flooding affected Georgia, the Carolinas, and nearby states, exacerbating the destruction left in its wake.

DripDrop’s long-standing Impact partners were on the ground immediately, providing assistance and resources to those in need. Global Empowerment Mission ensures that emergency supplies and teams are in place within 24 hours of the disaster, bringing in truckloads of supplies and helping to distribute throughout multiple locations. Heart to Heart International deployed mobile medical units and medical supplies to states impacted by both hurricanes.
