Mission Timeline:
Where We Show Up With DripDrop and Save Lives

When IV therapy isn't an option, dehydration can be life-threatening. At the edge of a wildfire, in a remote village, after a hurricane destroys local medical facilities—that's where we show up with DripDrop and save lives.

2023/ As a Public Benefit Company, serving the greater good is rooted in our DNA, and giving back is why we exist.

That’s why we’re so excited to announce that in 2023, we’re setting our biggest donation goal yet to deliver 3 million servings of DripDrop worldwide.

Florida 2023

Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Florida as a Category 3 storm and unleashed devastation along a wide stretch of the Gulf Coast. Many were without power and left with the aftermath of extreme flooding and widespread damage. The National Weather Service in Tallahassee called Idalia “an unprecedented event” since no major hurricanes on record have ever passed through the bay abutting the Big Bend.

Our partner, Global Empowerment Mission, who is based in Miami, FL responded in advance, preparing 6 trucks filled with Family Necessity Kits to ensure they could provide support to those impacted immediately. DripDrop was proud to be a part of their response, providing access to fast rehydration to both those affected by Hurricane Idalia as well as the response workers. GEM has committed $5 million in aid and supplies.

Maui, Hawaii 2023

Several wildfires caused devastation across parts of Hawaii in August, fueled in part by dry conditions coupled with strong winds from Hurricane Dora passing to the south. The Maui Emergency Management Agency estimates that it will cost $5.52 billion to rebuild in Maui County. With thousands of residents displaced in the aftermath, many are left without everyday essentials and are in need of resources.

DripDrop’s trusted partners all responded immediately to help those in need. Global Empowerment Mission opened a Maui office, which is open to assist with long-term housing applications, BStrong cash assistance cards, and other supplies. Heart to Heart International sent medical supplies along with hygiene kits to be distributed to shelters and hotel housing. And in partnership with Baby2Baby, DripDrop was able to provide 130k servings to help with their response efforts as they get basic essentials to families with children who need them most.

United States 2023

Scorching heat, crushing physical effort, and heavy gear mean firefighters face an increased risk of dehydration and heat-related injuries. Replenishing lost fluids is mission-critical for firefighters in the field so they don’t get sick from the heat.

As part of our long-term partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC), DripDrop launched our Firefighter Relief Donation Program for the 4th year running in June 2023, with a goal of distributing 500k servings to volunteer firefighters across the US. In addition, we will be providing 70k servings to Wildland Fire Departments who are at great risk of dehydration as they help to prevent and fight wildfires this summer.

United States 2023

The Salvation Army considers extreme heat a natural disaster in Arizona, and its Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) has provided heat relief (indoor cooling, hydration and other heat relief items) for more than a decade, currently as part of the Heat Relief Regional Network.

This summer, DripDrop provided 150k servings to the Salvation Army Southwest division’s extreme heat relief efforts across many southwest communities including in Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson, Yuma and Las Vegas. In addition, the relationship is expanding into Texas where 60K servings have been donated to the Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Services center in Arlington TX to be distributed as needed during their emergency response efforts throughout the summer.

US Extreme Weather 2023

Throughout the first few months of 2023, thousands across the United States have been affected by extreme weather events—with tornadoes in the MidWest and South, as well as flooding in California leaving many without their homes, livelihoods and possessions.

Our partners are uniquely positioned to help immediately after a disaster occurs. For example, Global Empowerment Mission’s new West Coast facility was able to quickly assist the communities affected in Northern California, while directly after the first tornado hit in March, GEM BStrong deployed to Mississippi to begin distributing Family Necessity Kits - which include DripDrop, pet supplies, and other BStrong cash cards. They have committed over $1M in aid to help those affected.

Ukraine War 2023

A year into the Ukraine war, support and resources are still desperately needed. Many civilians are still displaced and grappling with the limited access to food, utilities, and basic essentials.

DripDrop remains committed to providing donations that go directly to the relief efforts in Ukraine led by our trusted partners, Global Empowerment Mission and Heart to Heart International. As Dr. Dolhun stated, "Just showing up matters" and it is a privilege to be able to stand by Ukrainians and show support during this time. Your purchases make a real impact and are instrumental in providing this critical humanitarian aid.

Kahramanmaras Earthquake 2023

A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Southern Turkey and Syria in the early hours of February 6—leaving a devastating loss of life and many people injured, displaced, and in need of help.

DripDrop's mission partners were on the ground within hours, providing much-needed support and sending supplies for those affected by this devastating disaster. Heart to Heart International has disaster response teams sending hygiene kits and corresponding with partners in the region to determine the supplies and medicines needed for hard-hit areas. In addition, Global Empowerment Mission has committed $20M in relief aid through providing supplies like Family Necessity Kits as well as ongoing support of rebuilding efforts.
