In late February, Texas faced its most devastating wildfire on record. Spanning over 1 million acres, the Smokehouse Creek wildfire destroyed hundreds of farms and ranches and killed thousands of livestock. The scale of the disaster left Texas reeling and in urgent need of assistance.
Our partner, The Salvation Army Texas, wasted no time coming together to support the people of Texas as well as the dedicated firefighters who selflessly work to help stop the blaze. The Salvation Army units in Borger and Pampa put together blessing bags that included food, water, wipes, medical supplies, and DripDrop. As of Monday, March 4, The Salvation Army has provided 1,410 meals, 2,080 drinks, 2,192 snacks, 138 Blessing Bags.
